Office Example

A modern classroom requires efficient and streamlined power distribution for electronic devices and lighting. USB-C PoE outlets are installed at student desks and instructor workstations, delivering up to 100W per port for charging laptops, tablets, and other USB-C devices. Overhead LED fixtures are daisy chained to consume the entire power budget of an X-PoE port. In the above scenario, X-PoE lighting controllers provide power to the USB-C outlets, LED fixtures, and 3rd party wireless controls system. The X-PoE lighting controllers are housed remotely, along with their power supply, and the 3rd party control system host. The X-PoE lighting controls system is integrated with the 3rd party control system via API and/or MQTT.

Fixtures & Outlets#

3rd party 36V 1,000mA LED fixtures are daisy chained, up to 2.3A. For more information, see D1.2 - Output Power Range.
Multiple fixtures/X-PoE port, utilizing 2 channel X-PoE PD.
One USB-C outlet per port, supporting IEEE 802.3bt for up to 100W per outlet.
